Tonight I made 2 cards using my 2 very favorite Stampin' Up! sets. The first card is from the very old, retired set called Bubble Queen, and the second card is from a retired set called Voila. Both of these sets get a lot of use from me. I just can't quit these stamp sets.

CTD415 Color Throwdown Challenge 414
I think this is only my first or second time of playing along on The Color Throwdown blog challenges. I absolutely fell in love with the color combination as soon as I saw it pop up on my facebook feed. Colors I never would have used myself had it not been for them. LOVE IT!

Ho.Ho.Ho.
I used the Santa and Ho.Ho.Ho from The Stamps Of Life. The inside saying was just printed from my computer.
Divorce. We didn't like him anyway.
I love the "naughty" line from Unity Stamp Company. I used the saying from one set and the lady from another. I think we've all thought this about a friend's ex, now we can send cards telling her that.

Simple Thinking of you
I am so ready for fall temps. It's still been in the upper 90's here and humid. OMG, the humidity. The air seem so thick. I cannot wait for hoodies, crisp air, football in the cold, changing colors, darker nights...I love everything about fall, except pumpkin flavored stuff. I'm not a fan of anything pumpkin flavored, especially pie. Anyway, in my fall dream, I made this simple card for a friend battling cancer. Simple, thinking of you. The leaves were colored in watercolor markers, then coated in thick embossing powder a few times to really make them shine and to keep them "thick". The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
Hedge Hugs!
I am so in love with this HedgeHog2Stamp set from The Stamps of life. Are these not the cutest little hedge hogs you've ever seen? Needing desperately to get back into stamping, this is the first card I made in 2 months. I cannot take credit for this card. I cased it from the instagram account of @pnwcraftgirl. I just completely fell in love with everything about this card.
Whoa! It's been a while!

TGIF CHALLENGES
I used Piper Girl from The Unity Stamp Company and the saying is from another set also by The Unity Stamp Company. My circle die cut is Mod Circle Frame from Simon Says Stamp. #TGIFC65
Language!
Well, excuse the language, but I think we've all been there, right? That's been the entire month of July for my family so far. Can't wait for August to get here. The stamp and saying are both from The Unity Stamp Company.

Christmas In July #6
Get Well
Simple, cute little get well card for a very sick little boy, who is friends with my son. This set is from Pink And Main.
Sad little zoo animals
Here at our Cincinnati Zoo, one of our Gorillas had to be shot after a 4 year old boy somehow climbed into the enclosure. It wasn't an easy decision for our zookeepers, but it was definitely necessary. I made this little sympathy card, just because. It's just sitting in my pile of cards, but it just felt right to make it.
Creepy Crew
This goth/emo girl right here...she's our oldest daughter. She sports the same blue hair, it's kind of flippy and spiky and while she's goth/emo, she'll wear some color. This stamp is from The Greeting Farm.
Creepy Crew 2
I bought this cutie Goth/Emo girl from The Greeting Farm. Both of our girls are a bit Emo and this one just reminds me so much of our 2nd daughter. Hair and all!
Orlando...
I made this card after the attack in Orlando. I don't know...just felt compelled. We need love in this world. So much more love. I cannot make sense of all this hate. We are a world in trouble if we can't accept those different from "us". And truly, everyone is different from you, me, each other. Lets just love one another.
Father's Day gift
I am married to one very awesome man. But what to get him for Father's Day, or any other holiday or birthday is always a struggle. He's a simple man, has pretty much everything that we can afford. What he doesn't have is a lot stuff of his father. His father passed away in 1987, when my husband was still young. I found a picture of his dad from one of his sisters. I decided to put it on a painted wood block so he can hang it in our home. First time making one of these too. Hopefully I'll get better as I make more.
Fairy jar and Sorority jar
The top fairy jar was made for our 2nd daughter. She's 15 and just loves fairies. This was my first jar I made. Now I'm addicted.
Our oldest daughter joined a sorority her freshman year at Northern Michigan University. She is heading into her 2nd year, so I made this jar for her to take back to her dorm. Since it's a battery operated light, it fits in perfectly with their dorm rules. :D
I can see a lot of relatives getting jars for Christmas. And teacher gifts! Ohhhhh, teacher gifts! Can't wait!
Fairy birthday
I bought a fairy die cut for a fairy jar I made for my one daughter. She absolutely loves fairies so I couldn't wait to make her the jar. Decided to cut out another and add it to my first file folder card. I don't know why I waited so long to make one of these cards. I love them.
Christmas In July card 1.
It's Christmas in July and I'm hoping to make at least 20 Christmas cards this month. We'll see how that goes.
1 Crafty Gal was my original blog.
It's been quite a while since I updated by original blog, and now I can't remember my sign in to update it. So...if you ever followed me at 1craftygal, you can now find my latest creations here. I like being a simple stamper, so you won't see anything difficult here. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy making cards.
